Personal Goal for Next Year:
My personal goal for the Campus Life Committee next year is to include more service projects. While I think it's great that we are able to do so much programming for this campus, I feel that it is also important to give back to our city and our community. Therefore, I hope to include more community-oriented service projects next year-helping to coordinate student volunteers to give time back to the neighborhood and people around us.
In addition to campus life, I want to work to push the expansion of the RecycleBank program to include all dorms. This program is a great way to encourage recycling on campus and I believe it should be expanded beyond first-year dorms. Not only does it provide great benefits for students, but it provides a great benefit for our environment and helps keep Columbia green!

Personal Goal for Next Year:
From personal experience, I can honestly say that often times, the efficiency of an organization can be greatly inhibited by a lack of communication-whether it is among those individuals who are intricately involved in a group's administration or between such individuals and those for whom the organization exists. My goal is to work toward dispelling any communication barriers that may be present on campus and, instead, make a strong effort to actively connect to students to get their voices heard clearly and efficiently. From simple thoughts or suggestions to major, complex issues or critiques, I want to ensure students that our purpose is to lead by listening and, furthermore, show that we are here to hear you.
