Therefore, I hope to include more community-oriented service projects next year-helping to coordinate student volunteers to give time back to the neighborhood and people around us.

In addition to campus life, I want to work to push the expansion of the RecycleBank program to include all dorms. This program is a great way to encourage recycling on campus and I believe it should be expanded beyond first-year dorms. Not only does it provide great benefits for students, but it provides a great benefit for our environment and helps keep Columbia green!

My goal is to work toward dispelling any communication barriers that may be present on campus and, instead, make a strong effort to actively connect to students to get their voices heard clearly and efficiently. From simple thoughts or suggestions to major, complex issues or critiques, I want to ensure students that our purpose is to lead by listening and, furthermore, show that we are here to hear you.
